Our client is a fast-growing scale-up that publishes a CRM suite (SaaS) for SMEs.
Responsabilités
As part of a technical team of 30 employees, your role will be to help the company bring value to its customers with the best quality, as quickly as possible and at the lowest cost.
As the manager of a team of developers/leads, you will set clear goals and help the team succeed through accountability and coaching. You will act both as a manager, technical mentor and as an individual coach to support the development of each member of the team.
Your role will be based on the following three axes:
1- Management:
- Supervision of the members of your team (2 feature teams of 5 people each), by setting clear objectives and making them responsible,
- Operational relay from the Head of Engineering on all HR topics, management (OneToOne weekly...), coaching, evaluation, training, career plan,
- Team leadership: rituals, prioritization, delivery, delivery, reviews, tech design...,
- Work with engineers to develop their technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills and ensure they have the right challenges and the context needed to use them,
- Participation in the evolution of best practices,
- Recruiting future team members.
2 - Technical lead:
- Define and carry out the technical vision with the second Engineering Manager and the Head of Engineering,
- Relay, explain the product & business vision, make the team gain height,
- Support your team in creating a software solution from start to finish (architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, support),
- Ensure that all the projects allocated to your teams respect the deadlines and/or the budget to create a clear and effective roadmap,
- Help your team maintain a robust and scalable architecture,
- Work on the continuous improvement of the team's quality standards and improve the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of your employees,
- Bring your experience to ensure that nothing is overlooked and that risks are identified and highlighted,
- Promote effective communication between teams, in particular by helping your employees to work with other teams in the company (Product...).
3 - Individual contribution:
- Remain hands-on,
- Evolve in the current technical stack: PHP, Symfony, Vue.js,, MariaDB, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Docker...
Profil recherché
You have a higher education at the Bac+5 level, such as an engineering school or equivalent university.
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in Software Engineering that has allowed you to evolve into a management role (at least two years ago). Both a technical mentor and a coach, you are able to provide constructive feedback on the performance of your teams and help your employees grow.
Today, you are establishing your legitimacy with the teams thanks to your technical credibility (in particular in PHP development) as well as through your management qualities. You also have a passion for engineering practices and a proven track record of change management. A very good knowledge of Agile development practices is also required.
