Recruit a Frontend Tech Lead in Madrid and a Frontend Engineer in Barcelona in 3 months

Recruiting context:
Our customer is a multicultural blockchain and entertainment scale-up, launched in 2018, which now has more than 200 people with An establishment in 6 countries.

As a specialized recruitment firm, we were asked to recruit Tech experts based in Europe. Two vacancies: a Frontend Tech Lead in Madrid and a Frontend Engineer in Barcelona.

Mission difficulties:
First, the search for profiles with a high level of technical skills that are already in high demand in a situation of labour shortage, and in an international context, required to properly structure and sequence our approach.

Afterwards, the sector of activity of our client as well as its technical environment (he was facing complex issues in terms of architectural evolution, technological migrations and mobile application redesign), also accentuated the difficulty of the mission to find the rare pearl.

Means implemented:
A team of recruitment consultants dedicated to the mission has been set up. With the help of the Head of Engineering and the Human Resources Manager, we analyzed the real needs, defined the skills required and the typical profile of the ideal candidate for the position. We refined the arguments of the pitch for the position and developed a complete description to properly structure our international headhunting strategy: list of countries corresponding to the specifications (salary levels, training, etc.), list of foreign companies with similar technical stacks.

A hundred European companies, all industries combined, startups or scaleups, were thus able to be selected and targeted in accordance with the recruitment strategy defined by the headhunting team. We then proceeded to the precise identification of the profiles to be approached within these companies and 700 target candidates were thus able to be contacted for our client in a logic of recruitment by direct approach. These potential candidates were not looking for a job, so it was a matter of pursuing two objectives: seduction and selection.

Results obtained:
The recruitment team conducted a thorough and rigorous pre-selection, we interviewed about twenty potential candidates face to face and came up with a short list of 7 candidates, the first candidates having been presented to our client within 2 weeks only.

Several candidates based in Spain have advanced in the recruitment process. The recruitments of a Frontend Tech Lead based in Madrid and a Frontend Engineer based in Barcelona were thus recruited finalized with great reactivity by our teams specializing in international recruitment in a record period of 3 months including a summer month. Each candidate recruited has validated his trial period. A perfect match for the team of recruitment consultants in charge of the mission!
