Data Engineer (F/H) — Microfinance

An international microfinance group that offers tailor-made financial services to facilitate the activity of financially underserved entrepreneurs and traders.

From the Holding, you will evolve within the data team. Under the responsibility of the Head of Data and in collaboration with all departments, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the data function, by integrating a multidisciplinary team (Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist), in particular by being responsible for:

• The provision of reliable data,
• Their good exploitation,
• The application of the data governance policy.

As part of the digital transformation of the company, at the heart of the development strategy, you will be responsible for:

• Develop the data platform to process a large volume of data by migrating to the new environment of society,
• Diversifying the data available by integrating more data sources; guaranteeing the reliability of the diet,
• Industrialize the deployment of prediction and recommendation algorithms in collaboration with Data Scientists,
• Building structured and available data visions for Data Analysts and Data Scientists,
• Ensure the maintenance and technical and functional evolutions of tools (ETL, repositories, dataviz, etc.),
• Guarantee the availability and quality of data by applying the right procedures for using the data,
• Raise awareness and share knowledge and developments with other members of the team.

You have graduated from a Bac + 5 level course, such as an engineering school or university, specializing in Data Engineering.

You have at least 5 years of experience in using Cloud solutions for data storage and processing (Google, AWS or other). A first experience in banking or microfinance would be a plus. You are used to working according to the DevOps methodology. You master the various operating systems and more particularly the Linux environment. You know SQL database solutions. You have a solid knowledge of Big Data technologies allowing the processing and manipulation of data in real time and by batch (Hadoop, Spark...).

Open-minded, you have a good ability to make analysis easy to understand, thanks to convincing and clear arguments.
