Structured interview
Définition
The structured interview is a recruitment method where the same pre-determined questions are asked of each candidate, in order to ensure an objective and consistent evaluation. Unlike an unstructured interview, where questions can vary depending on the exchanges, the structured interview follows a fixed framework, with standardized scoring criteria. This type of interview makes it possible to compare the answers of candidates on an equitable basis and to minimize the recruiter's personal biases. It is generally used to assess specific skills and the qualifications needed for the position. The questions are often focused on concrete professional scenarios or on past behaviors (behavioral interview). Structured interviewing is widely recognized for its effectiveness, as it ensures greater predictive validity of the future performance of candidates, while increasing the transparency and accuracy of the recruitment process.
